Letter from the President

Message from the 2024-2025 PEF President

Dear Pflugerville Community,

It is my honor to be the new president of the Pflugerville Education Foundation. I am committed to upholding the Foundation's mission and leading us toward a bright future. We are on the verge of its next great chapter, one that strengthens and grows its commitment to PfISD.  

I look forward to working closely with our new superintendent, Dr. Quintin Shepherd, district and campus leaders, and educators to better understand our district's priorities. Educators need our support more than ever, as Texas's public school funding is at a record low. It is the Foundation, in close partnership with the community, that will lift them up and remind them we are all in it together.

This year, my focus will be on three goals for the Foundation:

  • Strategic Growth– Develop key partnerships with businesses and community members to build financial support
  • District and Community Engagement – Communicate with district leadership to connect our work with PfISD's broader community
  • Organizational Efficiency – Provide tools needed for our board, staff, and volunteers to be fully engaged in our mission, with a commitment to accountability and transparency

We will do this by fostering a team of talented board members and dedicated staff that is collaborative, focused, and driven to form an amazing future for this Foundation. The work that has been accomplished over the last 16 years has given us the ability to dream big.

As a mother of two students in our district, I have witnessed the dedication of our teachers and staff firsthand, making the Foundation's commitment so important. Our mission to close the gaps and invest in teachers to innovate will continue to inspire us.

I am filled with optimism and anticipation for the year ahead. We will achieve great things for the Pflugerville Education Foundation and our community. I am confident our dedicated team will bring us success, and it is my pleasure to lead them.
