Professional Development Scholarships

The Pflugerville Education Foundation currently offers two scholarships for professional development to employees of PfISD.

Utley Professional Development Scholarship

The purpose of this grant is to provide financial support for all current PfISD educators pursuing additional educational certification and/or educational related degrees at the university level. PEF believes that we should address the challenges of our current and future society in order to produce strong thinkers and decision makers. Ensuring well-prepared educators is critical to this endeavor.

The Utley Scholarship is sponsored by Dan and Debby Utley founded on the principles of:

  • a desire to contribute to a strong public education system; and,
  • an awareness of the value of ongoing professional learning for educators.

Total funding is $1,000, and this scholarship is awarded in the spring of each year.

Applications will be accepted beginning May 15, 2024 for the 2024 Utley Scholarship and are due at midnight on
